Handling mandatory for transport on Apron 1

As a result of inspections by the EU and the BCAA, transport is required at Antwerp Airport (SRA - Apron 1) for all persons which may not have been submitted to a security check at the airport of departure.

Therefore, from 1 February 2009, handling is mandatory for the transport of passengers and crew of all arriving General Aviation and business flights at APRON 1.

Please contact FLYINGGROUP – Aviapartner (24u/24u stand-by):

In the near future also a radio frequency will be available to contact the handling agent. This frequency will be published later.

This measure is not applicable to local flights (e.g. maiden flights, training,…) to the extent that no landing takes place at an other airport or airfield. This measure is also not applicable to aircraft that, after landing, taxi to Apron 2 or the North side of the airport to park there.

The, by the handling agent imposed, fee is € 10 per transport (irrespective of the number of people transported).

Because of the certification of Antwerp Airport as an ICAO code 3C airport, important changes were made to the markings on Apron 1. A map with the new layout is available in the attached document.
