Schools and organisations can make an interesting visit to Antwerp Airport.
A specialized guide of the Stampe and Vertongen Museum vzw will lead the group during a two hour visit through the interesting universe of an airport and aviation in general. The group will check in as a passenger, go through passport and security check and will see what happens in front and behind the curtains of an international airport. Some aircraft hangars and the fire brigade are also visited.
A visit to the airport may also include a visit to the Stampe and Vertongen Museum, where you will learn more about the history of aviation in Antwerp and will see some historical aircraft from close by. Aircraft such as the world famous SV4 built in Antwerp at the Stampe and Vertongen construction plant. A collection of World War I aircraft is also on display.
For schools and youth organisations a pedagogical flight can be organized over Antwerp town and harbour (ca. 25 minutes).
Before or after the visit you can also enjoy a drink or a meal at the airport’s Belair restaurant, with a view on the tarmac and runway.
