Important information for all passengers who are travelling beyond the Schengen area
As from Friday, 07/04/2017, stricter border checks will take place for all passengers (Belgians & EU-nationals) who will be entering or leaving the Schengen area.
Please be prepared and foresee enough time in advance so that you can start your journey without any problems.
The new article 8.2 of the Schengen Border Code provides for a strengthening of security measures. Each passenger who is leaving or entering the Schengen area, will be subjected to appropriate controls. These procedures will require more time.
The 26 Schengen countries are: Belgium, Germany, France, Luxembourg, The Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Italy, Austria, Greece, Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
